About Brazilian jiu jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art in which the main object is to take your opponent to the ground using leverage and technique. BJJ allows you to practice self-defense without injuring your opponent. BJJ focuses on teaching techniques that allow a weaker, smaller person to neutralize a larger, stronger person. BJJ is a contact sport, and the workshop will require participants to be in close physical contact with one another.
