DCPA Monthly Book Club Somerset House Building 2, Apt 703, 5610 Wisconsin Avenue, Chevy Chase, MD 20815

Date: 24 Sep 2015 7:00 PM EDT

Author and Book:

David Gage, Ph.D.

The Partnership Charter: How To Start Out Right with Your New Business Partnership (Or Fix the One You're In)

Event Details:

The DCPA Book Club will convene at the Somerset House to meet the author, Dr. Gage, and discuss his book on family and non-family business partners.

David Gage grew up in an “intermittently dysfunctional” family business, which he credits for his interest in psychology and family systems.  He had a full-time practice and taught couples and family therapy to psychiatry residents at UM Med School before studying mediation and starting a firm that specializes in resolving conflicts among co-owners of closely held businesses.  BMC Associates is one of the only multidisciplinary firms (psychology, business and law) in the country specializing in conflict prevention and resolution for business co-owners.  Dr. Gage’s book, published 11 years ago, is now responsible for an average of 2-3 referrals each week and remains one of the only books available that describes both the personal and business discussions, negotiations and agreements entrepreneurs need to have before joining forces.

Contact Emily Lichvar for questions and registration pertaining to the event.
