The BioPsychoSocioEnviroSpiritual (BPSES) Model is a comprehensive and integrated understanding of brain-behavioral functioning that incorporates prominent organizing principles from different theoretical viewpoints and therapeutic strategies and techniques. The model is flexible, cohesive, and complimentary. The client’s progress can be tracked throughout the treatment process while simultaneously remaining compatible with well accepted basic theoretical concepts and procedures drawn from the latest research in the fields of biology, psychology, sociology, environmentology, and spiritualology.
Objectives: At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will be able to:
1. Identify and define the electrochemical and anatomical components of the brain and how they affect our cognitions, affects, and behaviors.
2. Identify and define the five major domains within the BPSES Model and list both the coping resources and the stressors found within each of the domains.
3. Describe how BioSocioEnvironmental variables can emotionally hijackyour Prefrontal Cortex.
4. Describe how experiential spontaneous and creative action-oriented approaches produce more effective outcomes for your clients.
